As a system integrator in Aerospace, KAI has been taking leading role in aerospace industry in Korea with successful development of T-50 Advanced Jet Trainer, KT-1 Basic Trainer, KUH-1 (SURION) Utility Helicopter, and RQ-101 UAV (SONGGOLMAE). Currently Korean Fighter eXperimental (KF-X) and Light Armed Helicopter (LAH) / Light Civil Helicopter (LCH) program which is future growth engine and key factor are under development. In addition, as a total solution provider in aerospace sector in Korea, KAI emerges technical excellence in the development of Korea Multi-Purpose Satellites (KOMPSAT, ARIRANG) and Compact Advanced Satellite 500 (CAS-500), Defense Satellites, as well as Korea Space Launch Vehicle (KSLV-II).

SURION(KUH-1) has excellent performance that is comparable with the world's best helicopter. In addition, on the basis of state-of-the-art equipment, the SURION carries out the mission with various terrains, day/night and adverse weather condition. SURION is currently operated as ROK Army Utility Helicopter and expanding its mission into Amphibious Assault Helicopter for Marine Corps or Medevac Helicopter.
The LAH(Light Helicopter) program is to develop advanced armed helicopter suitable for modern. Concurrent development of the LAH and the LCH(Light Civil Helicopter) program provides optimized development cost and stable follow-on supports. LAH was launched in 2015, equipped with modern avionics, weapons, fire-control systems and the first prototype was rollout in Dec 2018
